Chris and Shawn on Carnage Hill (2.6 MB download)

I became a member of the Colorado Toyota Tacoma Off Road Association (COTTORA) this week and invited everyone up to Left Hand Canyon.  We had quite a turnout.  8 Tacomas!!

Above pic was on the uphill climb out of Carnage Canyon.  Carnage Canyon is great little trail.  The first obstacle was no problem for most of us with lockers and good clearance.

There are a few good obstacles further up which some of the trucks with open differentials had a problem on.

We picked up a jeep guy who tried to conquer almost everything on the trail.  Below is his Jeep climbing up between 2 big boulders.  He almost made it!

We stopped for lunch in an open area where we all checked out the trail as it climbed pretty steep up the hill to the north ridge of Carnage Canyon.  Everyone made it up ok but the last guy (Patrick) tipped his truck over while someone was trying to pull him up the hill with a tow rope.  We attached my winch and slowly pulled him back over.  He took some pretty major damage to his finder area but everything else was ok.

On top of the ridge you can see pretty much all the trails of Left Hand.  It is beautiful!

We decided to head back down the ridge and back to the Playground area.  Here is me going down "The Squeeze"

We all had a blast.
