Febrary 23, 2002 -

Saturday was our big snow bashing trip to Crown Point just west of Fort Collins, CO.

We had my brother Corwyn in his stock Jeep and his girl friend Cat with her Tacoma V6 extended cab and my friend Jay with his big Blazer.

The trail started out dry with no snow but very soon we hit some patches and drifts that slowed us down a bit.  The first big drift was about 3 feet high and was about 50 feet long.  We spent over an hour with winches and tow ropes getting everybody through.  It was fun pulling both the Blazer and other Tacoma through at the same time.  That just about maxed my winch out though :)

Things got worse real quick when we hit drift 2 and 3.  The last drift was 4-5 feet high in some places and we just got burried!!

In addition to my winch we had Jay's winch to help out.  We had a blast but I sure miss the rocks and dirt now!

Afterward we aired our tires back up and played in some mud holes.  Here's a pic of my compressor working hard to inflate my tires.
